To start with, we wish you all the best for 2018!
We hope that it will be a beautiful, healthy, and a prosperous year for all of us.
Before we roll into the year 2018, it is also nice to look back at what 2017 has brought to “Old- Hickory”.
Regarding our dogs, 2017 was a completely different year for us than all previous years together.
It has been a year for us where we thought things trough and decided it was time to get back to the drawing board, and we finally decided what the best way forward is for us regarding our breeding program.
It has been a year where we have made new plans, created new illusions, and where, with a bit of prosperity, we can start to reap the benefits in 2018.
It has been a year in which I, together with my partner Mariela, have been able again after many years to visit the Nacional Specialty in the USA. Oh my God, how we enjoyed!! The States, cradle of our American Staffordshire. Back to the roots; Max would have said. Without a doubt this event is again high on our list of the shows to be visited. Without a doubt, October the 18th till the 21th 2018 we will be back in Pleasanton California for the 82nd Specialty.
It has been a year, in which Steffie has regained health and has been able to fully enjoy all the beautiful aspects of our beautiful passion.
2017 was also the year that our “Old Hickory” website got a total re-vamp. Many thanks to Astrid Thomassen. It gives you a small taste of what is in the pipe-line for the next coming years.
A year where we have strengthen again relationships with friends and breeders from all over the world, and a year where we have had the pleasure to meet new people who care about our breed.
A year that we can definitely bring to an end with a good feeling!
